iPhone 6 and 6 Plus now cheaper in India

Apple, it seems, has realized that the extravagant pricing of its flagship phones haven't exactly proved to be a success with the Indian public. Keeping that in mind, the company has slashed the pricing of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, both of which were available late last year in the country.

These discounts are only being seen through online retailers at the moment with the likes of Flipkart and Amazon offering the models at cheaper prices.

The 16GB iPhone 6 in Gold is being offered for Rs. 50,290 from Amazon, while Flipkart has it for Rs. 51,459. The 16GB iPhone 6 Plus on the other hand can be yours for Rs. 56,999 when bought via Amazon India. You can save Rs. 1,000 more through Flipkart as it has the same model for Rs. 55,999.

The 128GB iPhone 6 is being offered for Rs. 70,299 from Amazon India, while the 64GB model has no change in price and is stuck at Rs. 62,500. Flipkart has the 128GB iPhone 6 for Rs. 69,999, while the 64GB variant is being sold for Rs. 59,999.

So if you're looking to get a 64 or 128GB model of the iPhone 6, Flipkart is your best bet at the moment. Other models of the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus haven't seen major discounts, so they're not worth mentioning here.

We're yet to hear anything officially from Apple, but this new wave of price reduction will certainly make the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus slightly more lighter on your wallets, although still nowhere near being considered affordable.

The decrease in price might be Apple's way of countering the fresh announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S6, which is expected to hit the Indian markets by early April.
