The iPad mini 4 will be a lot like a smaller iPad Air 2

The iPad mini 4 will be a lot like a smaller iPad Air 2
The iPad mini 4 will be a lot like a smaller iPad Air 2

It's usually the iPhone that dominates Apple's earnings reports but let's not forget about the iPad: if new reports out of Asia are to be believed we might get three new fruit-flavoured slates before Christmas.
The leaked tips centre around the iPad mini 4, which sources say will be a shrunken iPad Air2, complete with an A8 processor and an 8MP iSight camera. The dimensions will be the same as the iPad mini 3 except for the thickness, dropping to 6.1mm from 7.5mm.
You may remember the rather underwhelming launch of the iPad mini 3, where Apple added Touch ID and very little else. This time around the upgrade looks much more substantial.

Three's a crowd

The report also mentions the iPad Pro, the super-sized iPad that Apple has been rumoured to be building for several years. Apparently it will come out alongside the iPad Air 3 and the iPad mini 4.
That rebuffs earlier speculation that the iPad Air refresh would be skipped this year to give suppliers more time to focus on the iPad Pro. If you're in the market for a new tablet then you'll have plenty to choose from.
New iPads are usually announced in October and this year should be no different. The arrival of Force Touch is another good bet, as it's spreading to more and more of Apple's products.

First Impressions: Lava Android One Smartphone

At any point in time, India-based Lava is bound to fetch better traction with its Google association and this is where Android One will surely able the brand to widen its horizon in the smartphone space. Google has its work cut out after the not-so-successful stint with Android One initiative last year.

Much is expected from the search giant which still deems the project, as important as it was back then. Lava will be hoping its Pixel V1 phone with promise of Android 5.1 Lollipop stock experience will be a major attractive point for buyers. However, for Rs 11,349 this device is almost twice the value of first generation Android One phones. Is it any better than before? We managed some time with the device and here's our first look.

Lumia 950 leaks show Microsoft could finally deliver an amazing phone

Lumia 950 leaks show Microsoft could finally deliver an amazing phone

Loads of new specifications for the upcoming Lumia 950 and 950 XL have leaked, hinting that this pair will be some of the first flagship handsets to feature the new Windows 10 Mobile operating system.
According to the leaks, which apparently come from sources known to ItHome.com, the Microsoft Lumia 950 will come with a 5.2-inch 2K resolution screen, a six-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 3,000 mAh removable battery.
Meanwhile the Lumia 950 XL will apparently have a larger 5.7-inch screen with the same 2K resolution, along with an octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and a 3,300 mAh battery which is also removable.

Shared specs

The leaks also claim that the two handsets will come with 32GB storage along with microSD expansion, a 20MP main camera, a 5MP front camera and the brand new USB Type-C port.
Both handsets are also said to come with slimline full metal ubibodies – a departure from the bright plastic-metal bodies of recent high-end Lumia devices.
If these specs are accurate, then it looks like Microsoft is once again building flagship devices after concentrating on bringing us budget Lumias in the past.
The Lumia 950 and 950 XL are rumoured to appear in October or November this year – could these be the handsets to tempt people to move to Windows 10 Mobile? We've contacted Microsoft to try to prise out some more details.
